Govt Prioritizes Support for Agriculture, Industrial Sectors: PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed authorities concerned to devise a comprehensive strategy for enhancing industrial and agricultural production through the efficient use of electricity. He was chairing a review meeting on Power Division’s reform package for the Industrial and Agricultural Sectors in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister also instructed the Power Division to prepare recommendations to facilitate investors and industrialists. Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that providing support to the agriculture and industrial sectors is a top priority for the government. He highlighted the need for a policy to ensure the productive use of electricity in the country.

Shehbaz Sharif noted that optimal electricity use can lead to increased industrial goods and agricultural output. During the meeting, the Prime Minister was briefed by the Power Division on electricity generation and a potential reform package for its efficient utilization.
