Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, has emphasized the government’s commitment to maintaining price stability and ensuring an adequate supply of sugar in the market. He chaired a high-level meeting with representatives of the Pakistan Sugar Mills Association and other key stakeholders in Islamabad to review the ongoing sugar supply situation in the country.

Taking serious note of the situation, Rana Tanveer Hussain announced that the government will now exercise strict oversight of sugar mill stocks. For this purpose, officials will be deputed to each sugar mill to monitor stock levels and ensure an uninterrupted supply in accordance with agreed terms.
