Govt to Establish Aquaculture Park in Karachi

Karachi: The government has announced plans to establish an aquaculture park in Karachi with an investment of $10.5 million. The initiative aims to enhance the country’s blue economy through the cultivation of marine species.

According to Radio Pakistan, Minister for Maritime Affairs Junaid Anwar Chaudhry has instructed relevant authorities to prepare a feasibility report for the aquaculture park within ten days. The project is expected to focus on the cultivation of various marine species, including fish and shrimps, in both marine and freshwater environments.

The development of the aquaculture park is anticipated to boost the production of aquatic life in the country, contributing to economic growth and sustainability within the sector.
