Govt to Facilitate Private Sector-Led Growth: Aurangzeb

Islamabad: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has stated that the government is committed to facilitating private sector-led growth, with a focus on technology-driven and investment-intensive sectors. He made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation comprising telecommunication infrastructure companies and Venture Capital Firms in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Finance Minister emphasized the importance of balancing fiscal considerations with the need to support business expansion. Aurangzeb highlighted the government’s objective to encourage formalization and strengthen Pakistan’s digital and innovation ecosystem over the medium to long term.

The Finance Minister acknowledged the pivotal role of telecom infrastructure companies in enabling digital connectivity across the nation. He also underscored the importance of venture capital in fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, and job creation. Aurangzeb noted that a predictable, transparent, and growth-oriented policy and tax framework is crucial to attracting long-term investment and ensuring sustainable development in these sectors.
