Govt to Promote Telemedicine for At-Home Medical Care: Mustafa

Karachi: Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination Syed Mustafa Kamal has announced that the government will promote telemedicine to provide health facilities to people at their doorsteps.

According to Radio Pakistan, the minister shared this initiative while speaking to the press during his visit to the Central Drugs Laboratory in Karachi. He emphasized ongoing efforts to liberalize the medicines market and mentioned plans for a crackdown on spurious medicines.

In response to a question about the health of President Asif Ali Zardari, the minister expressed his prayers for the president’s good health and recovery. Additionally, when asked about the establishment of a hospital or trauma centre on the Hyderabad-Karachi Motorway, he stated that the Prime Minister would be making an announcement on this matter soon.
