Govt Working to Improve Healthcare Facilities in Country: Mustafa

Islamabad: Minister for National Health Services Mustafa Kamal has announced that the government is actively working to enhance healthcare facilities across the nation. During an event focused on the upgradation of the Cardiac Center at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad, he highlighted the essential need for making primary health units fully operational to alleviate the pressure on tertiary hospitals.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister pointed out that there are currently twenty-eight Basic Health Units in the federal capital. He emphasized the importance of fully activating these units to significantly reduce the patient load on PIMS. This strategic move is aimed at improving the overall efficiency and accessibility of healthcare services for the population.
