Grand Tribal Jirga Held in S. Waziristan

South Waziristan: A grand tribal Jirga of elders of Mehsud and Barki Tribes was held in South Waziristan. The local tribal elders thanked Pakistan Army for the return of the residents of Makeen and for providing buildings for the district administration and police.

According to Radio Pakistan, the tribal elders also paid tribute to the sacrifices of Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps (South) for establishing durable peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They reiterated their resolve to stand side by side and cooperate with the security forces until the complete elimination of Fitna al-Khwarij.

IG FC Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South), who was the chief guest of the Jirga, lauded the sacrifices of the tribal people in the fight against Fitna-al-Khwarij. The collaboration between the tribal elders and security forces marks a significant step towards peace and stability in the region.
