Gwadar: Gwadar district officials convened an essential meeting to address the long-standing issue of unpaid rents by tenants of residential quarters and shops owned by the District Council. The meeting, led by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Tabish Ali Baloch, outlined decisive steps to tackle the defaults, including the issuance of final notices and potential legal actions.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting was called on special instructions from Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rahman and saw the participation of key local government figures. These included the chief officer of the district council, the chief officer of the municipal committee, the assistant director of local government, and the vice chairman of the district council, among others. The gathering aimed to deliberate on the overdue rent payments by the tenants, which has been a persisting problem.
During the meeting, the Additional Deputy Commissioner General, Tabish Ali Baloch, made it clear that defaulters would receive one final notice to settle their dues. Failure to comply with the notice will result in legal proceedings and eviction from the properties. This decisive action marks a significant step in resolving the financial discrepancies affecting the district council’s operations.
