Habib Metropolitan Bank Issues Second Interim Dividend for 2024

Karachi: Habib Metropolitan Bank Limited has announced the credit of a Second Interim Cash Dividend for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024. The dividend, amounting to Rs. 2.50 per share which represents 25% of the share value, was approved by the bank’s Board of Directors on August 22, 2024, and has since been distributed to qualifying shareholders.

The payment was made electronically to those shareholders who had provided their valid Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC) and International Bank Account Numbers (IBAN). The announcement was confirmed through notices published in the Business Recorder and Daily Jang on September 20, 2024. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this dividend payment aligns with the requirements outlined in Section 242 of the Companies Act, 2017, and the Companies (Distribution of Dividends) Regulations, 2017.

However, the bank has also withheld dividends for shareholders who failed to supply correct or complete banking details, or who have not yet provided a valid CNIC and IBAN. These shareholders have been urged to contact the bank’s Share Registrar or the Participant/Investor Account Services of the Central Depository Company of Pakistan to update their details.
