Hanif Abbasi Vows to Transform Railways into Modern Transport System

Islamabad: Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi says Pakistan Railways is being made a modern, sustainable, and people-friendly mode of transportation.

According to Radio Pakistan, he was visiting Carriage Factory Islamabad on Wednesday to review in detail the preparation of modern high-speed rail coaches. The Minister was briefed that high-speed coaches equipped with modern technology will provide comfortable travel to the public.

He also visited the directorate of IT and reviewed digital projects. The Minister said IT reforms are indispensable for improving revenue, ticketing, and operations. He directed for completion of all projects within stipulated time and with high standard of quality.
