Hanif Vows to Extend Railways Passenger, Freight Services to Central Asia

Multan: Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi has announced that, following the directives of the Prime Minister, Pakistan Railways is planning to expand its passenger and freight services to Central Asia. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance the railway infrastructure, which is deemed crucial for the country’s development.

According to Radio Pakistan, during a news conference in Multan, Abbasi emphasized the necessity of revitalizing Pakistan Railways. He highlighted plans to convert 155 railway stations to solar power within two months, aiming to improve sustainability and efficiency. Furthermore, he mentioned the introduction of free Wi-Fi services in over 40 trains in the near future, marking significant advancements in passenger amenities.
