Haroon Calls for Equipping Farmers with Modern Skills

Islamabad: Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Haroon Akhtar Khan has emphasised the need to equip farmers and exporters with modern techniques and skills. Talking to a high-level delegation of Kissan Ittehad in Islamabad today, he assured that the Small and Medium Enterprises Authority would play an important role in this regard.

According to Radio Pakistan, the President of Kisan Ittehad highlighted that due to the lack of modern preservation and packaging facilities in Pakistan, a significant quantity of fruits and vegetables goes to waste. He further emphasized that the absence of food processing, packaging, value addition, and cold storage facilities remains a major bottleneck in the food sector.
