HC Highlights Cooperation Potential Between Pakistan and Canada

Islamabad: Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan Tariq Ali Khan called on Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik in Islamabad. The High Commissioner briefed the Minister that Canada’s Barrick Gold company is successfully working on the Reko Diq project in Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the High Commissioner emphasized the vast opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in critical minerals, energy, renewable energy, and agriculture sectors. The Minister acknowledged the importance of the Reko Diq project for Pakistan and noted that there are opportunities in several other projects in the areas adjacent to Reko Diq.

The Minister assured the High Commissioner of full support to promote a strong partnership with Canada.
