Heavy Monsoon Downpours Hit Rawalpindi and Islamabad

Rawalpindi: Heavy monsoon downpours have lashed different parts of the country, including Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, a spokesperson of the met office reported that the highest rainfall was recorded in Islamabad at 193 mm, followed by 179 mm in Rawalpindi. Other affected areas include Mandi Bahuddin with 167 mm, Chakwal with 142 mm, and Jhelum with 81 mm.

The spokesperson mentioned that intermittent rain is expected to continue over the next twelve to twenty hours, although its intensity is likely to decrease.
