Heavy Rain in Bajaur Results in Injuries and Property Damage

Bajaur: Heavy rainfall on August 31, 2024, in Bajaur has resulted in injuries to two individuals and damage to several properties.

According to Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Sajida, wife of Izat Ullah Khan from Chamyar Johar, and Muhammad Said Khan, son of Rehmat from Kitkot, were injured due to the adverse weather conditions. Both individuals were promptly taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.

In addition to the injuries, the heavy rain caused structural damages in the area. Izatullah Khan of Chamyar Johar reported damage to one room of his residence, while Muhammad Said Khan from Kitkot experienced the collapse of his house’s veranda.

The PDMA continues to monitor the situation and assess further needs for recovery and support in the affected areas. Local authorities are also engaged in providing assistance to the impacted residents and coordinating repair efforts for the damaged structures.
