Peshawar: Recent severe weather events have heavily impacted northwestern Pakistan, particularly in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, leading to floods and a series of weather-related incidents that have caused fatalities and property damage since October 7.
According to Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations, the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has reported three deaths and one injury resulting from the adverse conditions. Additionally, two houses in the districts of Khyber and Upper Dir have suffered damage. The forecast suggests that the region will continue to experience significant rainfall over the next 24 hours, potentially exacerbating the current situation.
The ongoing severe weather highlights the region’s vulnerability to climatic fluctuations and underscores the need for continued vigilance and preparedness in the face of natural disasters.
