Heavy Snow Shuts Key Travel Routes in Kupwara and Bandipora.

Srinagar: The first snowfall of the season has transformed Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir into a winter wonderland, enhancing scenic destinations like Gulmarg and Sonamarg for visitors.

According to Kashmir Media Service, snow blanketing the higher-altitude areas in Kupwara and Bandipora has disrupted key travel routes.

The snowfall continued intermittently, leading to temporary closures on the Srinagar-Leh highway and other high-altitude roads. Mughal Road and Sinthan Top remain closed due to snow accumulation.

The Meteorological Department forecasts dry weather, with light snowfall expected in higher regions from November 14-16. Travelers heading to higher elevations are advised to check road conditions in advance.
