High Commissioner Tariq Azim Khan briefs Senate delegation about current status of Pakistan

Islamabad, May 25, 2018 (PPI-OT):A delegation from Senate of Pakistan led by Deputy Chairman Mr. Saleem Mandviwalla, currently visiting Ottawa at the invitation of Forum of Federations met with the High Commissioner Tariq Azim Khan here today. Senator Muhammad Javed Abbasi and Senator Aurangzeb Khan also accompanied the Deputy Chairman Senate, says a press release received here today from Ottawa, Canada. High Commissioner Tariq Azim Khan briefed the Senate delegation about the current status of Pakistan-Canada bilateral relations and efforts being made to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries.

He informed that the Mission is working with the Canadian officials to facilitate visa issuance to Pakistani traders and international students. He also briefed the delegation on Pakistani-Canadian diaspora and what important role the community can play in promoting better understanding of Pakistan in their adopted homeland. The Deputy Chairman and the accompanying senators exchanged views onenhancing bilateral relations and promoting soft image of the country in Canada.
