Hindu Extremists Attack Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Tripura

Agartala: A large group of individuals linked to the Hindu Sangarsha Samiti attacked the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh in Agartala, Tripura, causing damage to property and leaving diplomatic staff feeling insecure. The Bangladesh government has condemned the incident and called on India to take swift action.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the attack involved over 50 individuals associated with the Hindutva extremist group. The protesters broke the mission’s main gate, caused damage inside the premises, vandalized the flag pole, and desecrated the national flag.

Bangladesh’s interim government has issued a strong condemnation of the attack. The government urged India to take immediate measures against those responsible, emphasizing the unacceptability of targeting diplomatic staff and damaging diplomatic property.
