Hindu Outfits Protest Against Masjid Construction in Dharamsala

Dharamsala: A significant protest erupted as Hindu activists from various extremist organizations marched against the construction of a Masjid in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh. The demonstrators, including members from groups such as the VHP, RSS, and Bajrang Dal, voiced strong opposition to the state’s Congress government and the ongoing building efforts.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Muslims from Simla have initiated the construction of the Masjid with proper approvals from the Congress-led State Government. Despite the lawful permissions, the protest aimed to halt the construction process, with participants labeling the project as unauthorized and expressing discontent towards the current government. During the demonstration, local police intervened in an attempt to manage the escalating tensions among the protestors.

Furthermore, the involved Hindu organizations have issued warnings about escalating their protests if the construction of what they refer to as an unauthorized structure does not cease. The situation remains tense, with potential implications for both community relations and political dynamics in the region.
