Hindutva Mobs Loot Muslim Shops in Bihar During Durga Puja Procession

Patna: Hindutva extremists attacked and looted Muslim-owned shops in Bihar, causing significant destruction in the Basbita market area of Sitamarhi district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the violence erupted during a Durga Puja idol immersion rally in the Majorganj police station area. Armed with sharp weapons and shouting provocative slogans, the attackers targeted Muslim businesses. The police, who attempted to intervene, were also assaulted by the mob.

Several individuals, including Adarsh Kumar, Shivam Paswan, Nikhil Kumar, Subhash Kumar, and Ujjawal Kumar, were arrested. Authorities recovered a pistol and ammunition from the suspects.

In a separate incident in Dhenga village, clashes between two groups during the idol immersion resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left ten others injured.
