Holiday Announced for Hindu Employees of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation on Diwali

Karachi: Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab has announced a holiday for Hindu employees of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) on Friday, November 1, 2024, in observance of the Diwali festival. The decision will impact various departments, sub-departments, and sections within the KMC.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the Mayor has also instructed that the salaries for the month of October be disbursed to Hindu employees before the Diwali festival. The Department of Finance, KMC, has taken measures to ensure timely payment, allowing employees to celebrate their religious event more comfortably.
