Hub Power Company Announces Postal Ballot Details and Electronic Voting Options

Karachi: In a recent announcement, The Hub Power Company Limited detailed the provisions for its upcoming Annual General Meeting through a postal ballot, alongside options for electronic voting. The notice initially released on September 5, 2024, has now been supplemented with additional information for shareholders.

The Company has published the postal ballot papers today as per Regulation 8 of the Companies (Postal) Ballot Regulations. These ballots are available in both the “Business Recorder” in English and “Nawa-i-Waqt” in Urdu, ensuring broad accessibility for all shareholders. According to information available from the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), this step is taken to facilitate the participation of all registered shareholders who cannot attend the meeting in person.

Furthermore, complying with Regulation 4 of the same regulations from 2018, the Company will also offer an electronic voting facility. This facility ensures that all eligible members can cast their votes in line with applicable laws, reflecting the company’s commitment to upholding rigorous corporate governance standards.

Shareholders and TRE Certificate Holders of the Exchange have been informed accordingly to prepare for the upcoming voting procedures, reinforcing Hub Power Company’s dedication to transparency and shareholder engagement.
