IED Blast in Chhattisgarh Claims Lives of Two ITBPF Personnel, Injures Two Others

Raipur: In a tragic incident in Chhattisgarh, an improvised explosive device (IED) blast resulted in the deaths of two Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBPF) personnel and injuries to two others. The explosion occurred in the Naxal-dominated region of Narayanpur district.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the blast took place on Saturday near Mohandi village in the Abujhmad area, a region known for its pro-independence Naxal activity. The ITBPF personnel were conducting operations in the area when the IED, planted by Naxalites, detonated earlier in the day.

Following the explosion, the injured personnel were promptly evacuated from the dense forest where the incident occurred. Authorities are currently investigating the incident further as the region continues to grapple with Naxalite insurgency challenges.
