IFC Offers Strategic Solutions to Revitalize Pakistan Railways

Islamabad: Minister of State for Railways Bilal Azhar Kayani has emphasized the government’s commitment to modernizing Pakistan Railways. Talking to a delegation of International Finance Corporation, led by Global Director Linda Rudo Munyengeterwa in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said our railways have significant potential to drive economic growth, boost trade and improve regional connectivity.

According to Radio Pakistan, Kayani highlighted the need for international collaboration, including multilateral development partners such as IFC, to bring in expertise and investment required for transforming the sector. He said we want to create a working environment where both the private and public sectors can contribute to developing a rail system that benefits everyone.

Ms. Linda Rudo Munyengeterwa also emphasized the importance of a strong railway system for Pakistan’s economic future. She said IFC is ready to offer its technical expertise, advisory services, and investment solutions to help make this a reality.
