IG Punjab Addresses Concerns of Police Personnel and Families

Lahore: Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, engaged directly with police officials and their families at the Central Police Office to address various concerns, issuing immediate directives for relief.

According to a statement by Punjab Police, Dr. Anwar listened attentively to the issues raised by the families and personnel. In a notable move, orders for relief were issued to DIG Establishment-II following a request from the wife of Shaheed ASI Basharat Ali. Similarly, Additional IG Special Branch was instructed to act on a request from DSP Yousaf Haroon.

Dr. Anwar also responded to Constable Muhammad Idrees’ request regarding an ongoing investigation, directing relevant officers to take prompt action. Furthermore, DIG IT received directives to handle a request from Constable Faqeer Hussain.

The meeting also covered a range of issues related to discipline, administration, promotions, and welfare, with Dr. Anwar issuing further directives to ensure these matters are addressed efficiently.
