IIOJK High Court Quashes Detention of Bandipora Man Under PSA.

Srinagar: A two-member bench of the High Court of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has quashed the detention of a Bandipora man under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

According to Kashmir Media Service, the court quashed the detention of 48-year-old Ghulam Muhammad Waza, a resident of Bagh village of Bandipora, nearly over a year after he was arrested on charges of indulging in anti-India activities and booked under the PSA.

He is currently held at Kot Bhalwal Jail in Jammu. The Division Bench, after hearing the arguments, directed authorities to release him from the jail. Ghulam Muhammad Waza and three others were booked under the Public Safety Act in February 2024.
