Ikhtiar Expresses Concerns Over Narcotics Cultivation in Tirah, KP

Tirah: Prime Minister’s Coordinator for Information on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Affairs, Ikhtiar Wali Khan, has expressed concerns over the cultivation and production of narcotics in the Tirah Valley of Khyber District.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a televised message, Ikhtiar Wali Khan stated that the federal government had requested the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration to implement measures against the production of narcotics. He highlighted that narcotics are being cultivated over an area exceeding three thousand acres.

Ikhtiar Wali Khan also shared a video recorded by local residents of Tirah Valley, showing the cultivation of cannabis, which is used in the production of other narcotics. He emphasized that proceeds from the illicit narcotics trade are utilized to undermine law and order in the country.
