Implementation of Strategic Projects Boosts Pakistan’s Industrial and Chemical Sectors

Karachi: The implementation of strategic projects in Pakistan’s industrial and chemical sectors is continuing due to the support of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).

According to Radio Pakistan, significant progress has been made in the Sapphire soda ash project with the support of SIFC, representing an important milestone for Pakistan’s industrial sector. Under this initiative, 2.7 cusecs of water have been allotted from Mohajir Canal in Khushab, ensuring the operational viability of the project.

Soda ash is a crucial industrial raw material, used extensively in the production of glass, detergents, textiles, and various chemical industries. The increased local production of soda ash is expected to strengthen the industrial base, reduce dependence on imports, and stabilize the supply chain, thereby providing a boost to the country’s economy.
