India can’t subdue Kashmiris through brute force: Yasin Malik

Srinagar, August 02 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik has said that India cannot force the people of Kashmir to abandon their liberation struggle through use of brute force. Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a huge gathering at Chara-e-Shareef urged the people of Kashmir to forge unity in their ranks and to foil the conspiracy of anti-movement elements in the territory.

He said that the so-called VDC members were in fact another form of Ikhwan renegades supported by India. He warned that India would be directly responsible for any act or crime committed by these renegades.

Yasin Malik said that after the condemnable act committed by Indian troops at Gool, police had unleashed a reign of terror on the Kashmiris. Police have arrested thousands of young boys and students and those arrested are being tortured and asked to pay heavy ransom for their release.

He said the world community’s criminal silence on the plight of Kashmiris is going to make the world especially South Asia more dangerous and vulnerable and will ignite the already volatile situation of this region.

He urged the people of Kashmir to continue their struggle till taking the liberation movement to its logical conclusion. He also appealed the international community to further step up its efforts for peaceful resolution of Kashmir dispute.

Earlier, the JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, led a big cavalcade from Maisuma area of Srinagar to Charar-e-Sharif.
