New Delhi: In a significant development within the South Asian arms landscape, India has successfully conducted back-to-back tests of its Vertical Launch Short Range Surface to Air Missile (VLSRSAM) from the Integrated Test Range at Chandipur on the Odisha coast.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) reported that the tests carried out on September 12 and 13 achieved their objectives. The missile was able to intercept a high-speed, low-altitude aerial target, which simulated a sea-skimming threat, during both trials.
