India: Congress has criticized the Modi government following Pakistan’s successful mediation in facilitating a peace agreement between the United States and Iran. According to Radio Pakistan, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh pointed out that the designation of the peace agreement as the “Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding” signifies Pakistan’s increasing diplomatic influence. Jairam Ramesh emphasized that the naming of the agreement underscores Pakistan’s enhanced position in regional and global affairs. He further noted that Pakistan’s deeper involvement in the geopolitical and security dynamics of West Asia has significant implications for India.
