Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has accused India of shifting its strategy to fuel internal unrest in Pakistan through local facilitators, following its defeat in Marka-e-Haq.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister conveyed his concerns in a post on X, highlighting the role of Fitna al-Khawarij in this conspiracy as both evident and dangerous. He questioned the motives of a religious group that had been dormant for two years but is now inciting unrest by exploiting public emotions and calling for actions such as the Islamabad March. This is particularly concerning given the recent complete ceasefire in Gaza, where Palestinians are celebrating peace and even Hamas has agreed to a truce.
Ahsan Iqbal underlined the urgent need for Pakistan to achieve peace, stability, and economic recovery. He stressed that any group undermining these objectives is effectively aiding the country’s adversaries. He declared that such elements are intolerable for any nation and not acceptable in terms of national interest.
