Islamabad, November 08, 2020 (PPI-OT): President Dr Arif Alvi has said that he is discharging his duties as enshrined in the constitution of Pakistan. In a private TV programme, he said holding a dialogue with the opposition parties is a prerogative of the prime minister. The president said prime minister takes decision on political issues as per his political acumen.
Responding to a question, president Alvi said India is playing a spoiler’s role in the region including in Afghanistan. He said India has hegemonic designs in the region as it has started skirmishes with China. He said a stable and peaceful Afghanistan is must for Pakistan and the region.
