Indian agencies harassing family members, relatives of Shabbir Shah

Srinagar, June 30, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has said that Indian agencies like National Investigating Agency (NIA) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) are harassing the family members and close relatives of DFP’s illegally detained Chairman and senior resistance leader, Shabbir Ahmad Shah.

The DFP in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, said these agencies do not even spare the domestic helpers. “These agencies have perhaps decided not to allow the family of Shabbir Shah to live in peace so they tease their relatives, friends and even the family driver one way or the other.”

“It seems that New Delhi and its agencies are trying to break Shabbir Shah’s commitment to the Kashmir cause by using cheap tactics like harassing his family members, close relatives and even employees at home,” the statement deplored and said that such tactics could not break the party chairman’s resolve for freedom. DFP appealed to the justice-loving people in India to take note of the situation faced by the family of the incarcerated political leader and raise their voice against such tyranny, oppression, subjugation and autocracy.
