Jammu: An Indian Army captain lost his life under what officials have described as “medical conditions” in the Akhnoor area of Jammu, Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, raising questions about the circumstances of his death.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Captain Rudra Pratap Singh, a native of Varanasi, suddenly collapsed and was rushed to the Military Hospital in Akhnoor late Saturday evening. However, he was declared dead soon after arrival.
While officials have attributed his demise to unspecified “medical conditions,” no further details have been provided. The body will be transported to his hometown, where last rites are set to be performed with full military honors on Monday.
The incident has sparked speculation, as the Indian Army has faced scrutiny over multiple cases of unexplained deaths within its ranks in recent months.
