Indian Force Commander Commends Professionalism of Pakistan’s Peacekeeping Contingent in South Sudan

Islamabad: The professionalism and dedication of Pakistan’s peacekeeping contingent serving in South Sudan have been commended by Lieutenant General S. Mohan, the Force Commander of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan, from India. His acknowledgment was conveyed through a letter addressed to Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Indian General praised the unwavering commitment of the Pakistani peacekeepers, highlighting their exceptional service in maintaining peace and stability in the region. Special recognition was given to Brigadier Shafqat Iqbal, who served as Sector Commander, and Lieutenant Colonel Shahbaz Aslam, the Commanding Officer, for their leadership and contributions to the mission.

The acknowledgment from the Indian Force Commander underscores the Pakistani Army’s reputation as a reliable and capable partner in international peacekeeping operations, reflecting its significant role in global peace efforts.
