New Delhi: An Indian inquiry committee is set to arrive in Washington, DC, tomorrow to further investigate a plot targeting Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, a Sikh leader and chief of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ).
According to Kashmir Media Service, the committee is focusing on the role of certain individuals suspected of planning to assassinate Pannun. This visit to the US capital is a critical step in a broader investigation that includes examining connections to an Indian government employee previously indicted by the US Department of Justice for involvement in the plot, which aimed to kill a US citizen in New York City.
The US State Department acknowledged India’s ongoing investigative efforts and indicated that India plans to implement necessary follow-up actions based on the inquiry’s findings.
