Indian Police Detain Man Under Public Safety Act in Udhampur

Jammu: Indian police detained a man under the Public Safety Act (PSA) in Udhampur district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, placing him in a local jail.

According to Kashmir Media Service, a police official stated that the man, identified as Mohammad Rafiq, son of Mohammad Qasim and resident of Balota Chigla, Basantgarh, was suspected to be an over-ground worker for a mujahid organization. The official further reported that several cases were registered against Rafiq at the Basantgarh Police Station. A police team subsequently arrested him, and he was lodged in the District Jail, Udhampur, Jammu.
