Indian Troops Initiate Search Operation in Udhampur, Casualties Reported in Pulwama

Jammu: Indian troops have launched a major cordon and search operation (CASO) in the Basantgarh area of Udhampur district in the region identified as Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Concurrently, an unrelated incident in Pulwama district resulted in a fatality and an injury due to a vehicular accident.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the military action involving troops from the 1st Para of the Indian Army began early Wednesday. During the operation, several rounds were fired in the Khandara Top area. Additional forces have been deployed to the forest region following intelligence reports suggesting the presence of militants.

In a separate incident in the Pampore area of Pulwama district, a man named Abdul Rahim Mir lost his life, and his son Nazir Ahmed Mir sustained injuries when an oil tanker collided with their scooty. Both incidents occurred on Wednesday and have escalated tensions in the region.
