India’s Weaponization of Water Sparks International Law Concerns: Bilawal

Islamabad: Head of parliamentary delegation and Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has accused India of weaponizing water in a manner that threatens the water supply to 240 million Pakistanis. In an interview with US-based television channel Newsmax, he emphasized that no responsible nation should support such actions.

According to Radio Pakistan, Bilawal argued that India’s actions constitute a clear violation of international law and the United Nations charter. He underscored the seriousness of the situation, stating that it extends beyond alarming and requires immediate attention from the global community.

Bilawal reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to resolve all outstanding issues with India through dialogue. However, he stressed that without India’s engagement in dialogue on terrorism, meaningful cooperation in the global fight against terror remains a distant possibility.
