Industrial Parks to Boost Pakistan’s Economy with Over 200,000 Jobs

Karachi: In an ambitious move to stabilize and expand its industrial sector, Pakistan is initiating the construction of new Industrial Parks, starting with a large facility in Malir. This project is supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) and the Pakistan Economic Zone Development and Management Company, aiming to enhance the nation’s economic landscape significantly.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Malir Industrial Park will serve as a hub for small industries and various industrial offices, providing seamless access to critical trade and logistics routes. The strategic location of the park at the junction of major highways, including the National Highway and Malir Expressway, positions it as a pivotal gateway to both the Karachi Port and Jinnah International Airport, facilitating swift movement of goods to local and international markets.

This development is expected to generate over two hundred thousand jobs within the first five years, marking a significant boost in employment opportunities and economic growth. The initiative underscores Pakistan’s commitment to fostering industrial development and attracting investment by creating conducive environments for business enterprises.
