Interfaith Harmony Advocated in Police Office Visit

Lahore: A 16-member delegation from the National Peace Committee for Interfaith Harmony met with Additional Inspector General (IG) Operations Punjab, Shahzada Sultan, at the Central Police Office. The meeting underscored the committee’s contribution to fostering lasting peace and religious freedom in the region.

According to a statement by Punjab Police, the delegation featured prominent figures such as Vice Chairman Mian Umar, Chairman Ullema Board Punjab Mufti Ishaq Hussain, Chairman Kul Maslak Board Punjab Maulana Asim Makhdoom, and Vice President of the Peace Committee Youth Chaudhry Sameer. The dialogue focused on the critical role of interfaith harmony in promoting tolerance and peaceful coexistence.

Additional IG Shahzada Sultan emphasized that Pakistan’s strength lies in unity across various faiths. He advocated for the principles of tolerance, peace, and patience, reinforcing that these values are essential for the prosperity and peaceful coexistence of diverse religious communities.
