Interior Minister and KP Governor Focus on Enhancing Security Measures

Islamabad: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized that establishing peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is a top priority, with the Federal Government ready to fully support the provincial government in this effort. He expressed these views during a meeting with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting involved detailed discussions on the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The discussions also covered security measures in the province’s border areas and ongoing operations against Khawarij. Both parties also talked about expanding NADRA and Passport office facilities in Dera Ismail Khan.

The Interior Minister acknowledged the sacrifices made by the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in combating terrorism. He stated that efforts are underway to eliminate Fitna al-Khawarij and its facilitators through collective measures, emphasizing the government’s determination to address the threat posed by Khawarij decisively.

During the meeting, Governor Faisal Karim Kundi informed the Interior Minister about the security challenges in the province. He highlighted the importance of federal cooperation in maintaining law and order and urged for joint and coordinated efforts to eradicate terrorism.
