Interior Minister Stresses Foolproof Security for Muharram

Islamabad: Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi has underscored the necessity of implementing foolproof security measures during Muharram-ul-Haraam to counteract the nefarious intentions of anti-state elements.

According to Radio Pakistan, the minister chaired a meeting on Wednesday in Islamabad to evaluate the arrangements planned for Ashura. During the meeting, Naqvi instructed officials to maintain close coordination with religious scholars from all schools of thought to ensure peace and harmony throughout the observance.

Naqvi also highlighted a zero-tolerance policy towards inflammatory content and stated that social media platforms will be rigorously monitored. He further stressed the importance of utilizing modern technology to surveil Majalis and processions, aiming to safeguard these religious gatherings effectively.
