Islamabad, August 23, 2020 (PPI-OT): International Day for Remembrance of Slave Trade and its Abolition is being observed today (Sunday).Marked under the auspices of the United Nations, this year’s theme of the Day is “Confronting Slavery’s Legacy of Racism Together”. The theme underscores the reality that lasting effects of slave trade, including racism, continue to divide societies across the globe and hamper our advancement towards a peacefully harmonious world.
