International Translation Day observed

International Translation Day was observed on Monday.

The day is meant to pay tribute to the work of language professionals, who have an important role in bringing nations together, facilitating dialogue and contributing to world peace and security.

There is growing awareness that languages play a vital role in development, in ensuring cultural diversity and intercultural dialogue.
