Int’l Day for Preservation of Ozone Layer Observed

Karachi: International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer was observed on Tuesday. This year’s themes were “From science to global action” and “Ozone for Life”.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Vienna Convention for the Protection of the Ozone Layer was adopted and signed by 28 countries in 1985. This significant convention led to the drafting of The Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer in September 1987.
