Iqbal’s Poetry a Beacon for Youth: Abdul Rauf Rafiqui

Lahore: Director Iqbal Academy Pakistan (IAP), Dr. Abdul Rauf Rafiqui, has said that the poetry of Allama Muhammad Iqbal serves as a guiding light for the younger generation. In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan’s correspondent Qasim Bukhari, he reaffirmed the Academy’s resolve to carry forward Allama Iqbal’s intellectual and philosophical legacy to the youth.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Rafiqui highlighted Iqbal’s philosophy of Khudi, emphasizing the timeless relevance of Iqbal’s message in the contemporary world. He noted that Iqbal’s works are not only literary masterpieces but also a constant source of moral and spiritual guidance for humanity. The Director informed that Iqbal Academy Pakistan is holding nationwide competitions aimed at acquainting the youth with Iqbal’s vision and philosophy.

He further mentioned that milestone celebrations will be observed comprehensively at the national, provincial, divisional, and international levels. Commenting on his nomination for the Sitara-i-Imtiaz, Dr. Rafiqui termed it an acknowledgment of his lifelong efforts to promote and spread the message of Allama Iqbal.
