Iran Launches Retaliatory Attacks Against Israel, US Bases

Islamabad: Strikes have been reported in the cities of Isfahan, Qom, Lorestan, Karaj, Kermanshah, and Tabriz as well as the capital Tehran. A US official has stated that the US strikes are currently focused on military targets. However, at least fifty-seven students were martyred and sixty others injured in an Israeli air strike targeting a girl’s school in Minab, Hormozgan Province. Rescue operations are underway, with fifty-three students still trapped under the rubble.

According to Radio Pakistan, in a statement on social media platform X, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi indicated that Iran intends to respond decisively to the aggressors. The Foreign Minister has also engaged in telephonic discussions with his counterparts from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Iraq, addressing the recent US-Israeli attacks on Iran.

Meanwhile, the conflict has led at least eight states, including Iran, Israel, Iraq, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates, to declare their airspace closed. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has announced strikes on several US military bases in the region, including the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain. According to Iranian official state-run news agency IRNA, Iran targeted American bases in Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Palestine.
